Our Mission
At Esperanza Community Services, our mission is to empower people with developmental disabilities to reach their full potential and lead fulfilling, independent lives.
We strive to achieve this through innovative education, effective advocacy, and compassionate support while fostering a supportive community where everyone can thrive.
Our History
In 1969, a mother decided she wanted more for her son, Bobby, who was born with spinal meningitis. Guadalupe Reyes created Esperanza School, a place where students with developmental disabilities found a solid foundation of education and support.
Over the years, Esperanza has expanded its reach, growing into a comprehensive organization that now serves both children and adults, provides essential education, therapy, and support
services to more than 100 individuals annually, empowering them to achieve greater independence and quality of life.
Empowering Services
Through our person-centered approach, we enable our clients to pursue their passion, embrace their abilities, make informed decisions, and reach their fullest potential.

Therapeutic Day School
We serve 60 children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, by providing life-changing support to help them achieve their fullest potential.

Adult Services
We serve hundreds of adults in a variety of ways. Through our day program, residential services, art studio and home-based program, we are able to ensure high quality care.

Dedicated Staff
Esperanza’s staff is passionate about serving our community of adults and children. Find opportunities to contribute skills and support our mission, aiding our people.
