Our Mission

At Esperanza Community Services, our mission is to empower people with developmental disabilities to reach their full potential and lead fulfilling, independent lives. We strive to achieve this through innovative education, effective advocacy, and compassionate support while fostering a supportive community where everyone can thrive.

Our History

In 1969, a mother decided she wanted more for her son, Bobby, who was born with spinal meningitis. Guadalupe Reyes created Esperanza School, a place where students with developmental disabilities found a solid foundation of education and support. Today, the school has grown to serve both children and adults through five programs.

For over 55 years, the Esperanza team has earned a distinguished reputation among the families we serve as a reliable and compassionate service provider dedicated to meeting their unique needs and fostering a supportive environment.
