Anthony’s heart for art shows in this piece that he drew in 2020, which combines his love of drawing hearts and using the colors pink, purple and red.
“Wishing everyone hearts, candy, and dancing for Valentine’s Day celebrations,” said Anthony on this Valentine’s Day.
Anthony, a Chicago native, says he “feels beautiful” when making art. Beyond painting, Anthony likes friendship, dancing and listening to music.
Through art, Anthony has flourished, becoming an outgoing individual often seen performing at Esperanza events.
Anthony is able to pursue his love of art thanks to our supporters. This Valentine’s Day we are grateful for your heart and generosity for Esperanza.

Esperanza means Hope.
Esperenza Community Services provides intentional opportunities for people with disabilities. Established in 1969, Esperenza grew from a mother’s wish for more for her son, who had a disability. To this day, Esperenza creates purposeful possibilities to help individuals live a rewarding life. This artwork was made in the Esperanza Art Studio.
