Adult Programs

Empowering Services

Our state-approved program offers individuals with Intellectual and developmental disabilities the opportunity to engage in the community, build independent living skills, develop vocational skills with the goal of participating in meaningful employment, as well as continue to personal explore interests.

Community Day Program

Esperanza’s Community Day Program provides participants, aged 22 and over, opportunities to reach individualized goals as well as pursue their own personal interests.

During a typical week, participants explore the community and apply basic safety skills, practice independent-living skills, and engage in vocational training tasks. They also have access to the arts.

Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA) Program

Esperanza’s three CILA homes are located in residential neighborhoods on the Northwest side of Chicago and provide support to adults with Intellectual and Developmental disabilities.

At our homes, we provide 24-hour person-centered support and care to our residents. Our CILA staff work to support our residents’ strengths and foster a family-like environment where they can improve their independent daily living skills.

Home-Based Services

Esperanza’s Client and Family Support Program provides families who care for an individual with an Intellectual or Developmental disability with in-home case management and assistance with accessing benefits, supports, and resources. Esperanza is working to meet the unique needs of families and connect them with the resources they need in order to continue to keep their family members living in their home environment.
