We’re proud to announce that Esperanza School has been recognized as one of the top private special education schools in the country! We just received the School of Excellence award from the National Association of Special Education Teachers for exceptional dedication, commitment, and achievement in the field of special education – and we were one of only 62 schools selected.
Esperanza School, a private therapeutic day school for students with developmental disabilities ages 5-21, was commended for its outstanding student-to-staff ratio (2:1), its wrap-around services (including door-to-door transportation, an on-site nurse, intensive speech therapy, and more), a multicultural learning environment, and its individualized curriculum.
“Esperanza School strives to be a leader in education and services for students with developmental disabilities,” says Joseph Gorgol, Principal. “Our staff works to ensure that our students receive an excellent education, and are supported academically, developmentally, socially and emotionally. We’re proud that our efforts and high standards have been recognized.”
Esperanza School is dedicated to supporting children and adults with developmental disabilities to become as independent as possible. “Right now, Esperanza is growing,” says David Stupay, Executive Director. “This school year, we will continue upgrading our curriculum for an even more customized learning experience, and we’ll be able to serve more students than ever before. We are excited about the direction Esperanza is moving in. It is an honor to be recognized by NASET for our achievements.”
A special thanks to all our awesome and dedicated staff, we couldn’t have done it without you. Here’s to another spectacular school year at Esperanza!
