As a new school year begins, we’re celebrating an incredible milestone here at Esperanza, not just for our students, but for our entire community!
This fall, Kannessa, one of our beloved high school graduates, will return to Esperanza to take part in something truly special: our new Bridge NextSteps Program.
If you’ve met Kannessa, you already know how unforgettable she is. Her teachers describe her as “gentle and nurturing when needed, loud when it counts, and never afraid to be her most authentic self.” She’s sharp, quick-witted, deeply kind, and she’s grown into a young woman with the confidence to take on whatever comes next.
Now, as she begins this next phase of her journey, the Bridge NextSteps Program will help her do just that. We created this program in direct response to what families told us they needed most:
“We want our kids to have purpose. We want them to be seen and accepted. We want to know someone will still be there after they age out of school.”
Thanks to your support, we can answer that call.
Your gift today will help us launch a program that offers:
One-on-one guidance from a trusted team of specialists—teachers, therapists, and job coaches who understand each young adult’s unique strengths and needs.
Real-world job skills training in our hands-on vocational lab, where students learn by doing—and build confidence along the way.
Support for families navigating the future, from understanding public benefits to making long-term care plans.
A welcoming, affirming community where young adults feel safe, supported, and truly seen.
Because with your help, young adults like Kannessa don’t have to face what comes next alone. They’ll have the structure, support, and opportunity they need to thrive.
Thank you for believing in what’s possible, and for making new beginnings like this one a reality.
With gratitude,
Jayne Drew
