Esperanza Community Services
For Guardians
At Esperanza, we know that supporting a student with a developmental disability to become as successful as possible means working closely with parents and guardians. To facilitate this, we offer a variety of services specifically for them.
Esperanza’s Parent Group meets on a monthly basis. School social workers and faculty are present at the monthly groups to lead the discussion and to answer any questions the parents have about their child’s education. Transportation is available. Contact Sally Scheib, Director of Social Work for more information at 312. 243. 6097 x 29.
Parent/teacher conferences are also available. Please contact Joe Gorgol, Principal, at 312.243.6097, x 25 to schedule. Other parent services include:
- Spanish/English translation related to their child’s educational and developmental needs
- Transitional assistance
Parents are always welcome at Esperanza, and we invite you to observe classes, volunteer, and get involved.
