For Guardians

At Esperanza, we know that supporting a student with a developmental disability to become as successful as possible means working closely with parents and guardians. To facilitate this, we offer a variety of services specifically for them.

Esperanza’s Parent Group meets on a monthly basis. School social workers and faculty are present at the monthly groups to lead the discussion and to answer any questions the parents have about their child’s education. Parent/teacher conferences are also available. Please contact Joe Gorgol, Principal, at 312.243.6097, x 25 to schedule. Other parent services include:

• Spanish/English translation related to their child’s educational and developmental needs
• Transitional assistance

Parents are always welcome at Esperanza, and we invite you to observe classes, volunteer, and get involved.
