    Your student’s enrollment in Esperanza School begins with a phone call.  Esperanza staff will answer your questions about how to obtain a referral from your local school district.  The referral process begins when parents and teachers feel that a student’s educational needs are not being adequately met in a traditional school setting, and that a more individualized approach to learning is needed to help the student succeed.

    Case managers at the student’s current school will inform parents about services available through Esperanza, and a site visit is scheduled. If parents, local school district and Esperanza administrators agree that the student would do well at Esperanza School, the student is enrolled and placement testing begins usually within a few days.
